Enjoying Your Cruise Vacation With A Port Call in Cozumel

If you are used to a cruise vacation in the Caribbean, chances are it will have Cozumel in one of its port of call.  For sure, a timeshare cruise in the area from El Cid Vacation Club will have one of its Mexican coastal resort properties in the list of port calls. And if you’ve been to Cozumel before, you may prefer to stay on board to enjoy its amenities when most other passengers are enjoying in the island resort. But chances are, with all the wonderful sites and pleasures the island offers, you’ll be going off to join them.

As a resort island, the biggest in Mexico, Cozumel sits on the Yucatan Peninsula on the Caribbean side of Mexico with only 12 miles separating it from the Yucatan peninsula’s southern shores. The main town is San Miguel populated by nearly 96,000 locals and is home to luxury resort hotels one of which is the El Cid La Ceiba Beach Hotel that El Cid Vacation Club offers in its land vacation timeshares.  It has the Cozumel International Airport (CZM), the all-around beaches and the world famous coral reefs considered one of the largest in the world and have become the island’s main eco tourism attraction for SCUBA fans and snorkelers.

Cozumel is one of those paradise islands that will invite you to get off your cruise ship, no matter how often you have been there.  While the temptation is there to remain on board for a rest, looking out to the island will soon get you there. Don’t waste your El Cid Vacation Club timeshare entitlements and do participate with the passengers taking a land tour of Cozumel.
